The Ladies of Charity-Lake Travis celebrated their 25th Anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving at Emmaus Catholic Parish on April 20th. A luncheon followed, honoring volunteers and beneficiaries. The Ladies of Charity-Lake Travis was founded in March of 1991 by Anita Fisher at the encouragement of Monsignor Richard McCabe. The Ladies opened the Lake Travis Thrift Shop on July 8, 1991, using the proceeds to fund the Crisis Closet, which is now know as Lake Travis Crisis Ministries. Due to the generosity of the Lake Travis community, the shop is very successful, and the Ladies are able to donate over $250,000 each year to organizations which share our mission to serve the poor.
The Ladies of Charity-Lake Travis would like to thank everyone who helps us in our ministry to serve the poor. What can you do to help?
